Default EPC light with no check engine 2015 jetta 1.8t

I continue to have my epc come on under certain conditions. When I first get in my car and drive it somewhere like the store 15 minutes down the road it's fine. But when I get back to my car, start it and take off the epc will come on and the car goes into limp mode. It appears to only do it when it is warmer outside and resets when I restart the car and wont come back on. I've taken it to the dealership and they tell me there is record of the light coming on but no MIL coming on. Then basically walk me out the door telling me I need to bring it in whilst the light is on. Unfortunately I've taken it to them 4 times with the light on and somehow it always seems to get restarted in their hands before they get too look at it. At this point im outside of my warranty now and I'm hoping someone else has had this problem and found a solution before I go replacing the variety of parts suggested.

I have the exact same problem with same car. I drive for Uber full time and it only seems to happen after driving for 3+ hours in 80+ degree heat. I turn car off for about 45 min and then car runs perfectly. Also, my AC does not work. Does yours?
