Default 2006 VW Jetta 2.0 Turbo CEL codes and Traction control

I have a new to me 2006 Volkswagen jetta.

I purchased the car at a fair price for my new daily driver.

It is a clean 2006 with the 2.0 turbo motor and 6 speed manual transmission.

I put a new battery in the car and did a tune up which consisted of an oil change and new plugs.

The car has 133,000 miles on it.

So far i have put about 30 miles on it around town and have gotten a few codes pop up on it on me.

First is a P12A2 code. I had autozone pull the code for me. I did some pelimanary search and found a whole ton of mix comments and fixes.

Most common i have seen is a fuel rail to high. Can anyone concur this with me or if you got this code what you did to help fix it.

The 2nd is the traction control.

The traction control light is on the dash all the time.

I ran the codes and it came up with 00493-014 ESP sensor unit G419.

Does any know how to fix this issue. is there a connector that needs to be replaced? Or sensor that is faulty?

Thanks in advance

The P12A2 is Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Inappropriately High

Possible causes

Faulty Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted

Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Piece of crap, I did NOT double space all that, this editor SUCKS...
