I have a 2012 Jetta 2.0L with a faulty ABS Module. I’ve done a lot of research concerning this topic. I have a few questions. I see a lot of guys removing and installing the whole ABS module including the brake cylinder that it is attached to. I’ve also seen one guy only one that removed only the ABS module from the brake cylinder on a 2013 Audi A4. Is it possible to perform the install this way? I’m curious because it seems much easier than removing the brake cylinder with it.
Another question. I’ve download the free VCDS software. Can I use a cheaper cable, for example OBD2 cable, instead of the cable sold by RossTech? This is my wife’s car I’m not trying to upgrade it I’m just a guy trying to save some money and get her car fixed.
I realized OBD2 is a general term am I correct?
Here’s the cable I’m looking at.
Thanks for any responses.
