Exclamation Occasional popping when straightening wheel!!

Hi all,
hope you are staying safe and all. I have been noticing something kind of strange with my 14 Jetta S standard trans.
While at low or fast speeds I don't hear anything, I have noticed seldom popping sounds as I come to a stop or take off from a stop.

The most noticeable would be when I come to a full stop with the wheels turned slightly to the left and then slowly straighten the wheels. Whenever straightening happens, I hear 1-3 popping sounds. It feels a bit as the steering doesn t straighten out completely smoothly when these poppings happen.

Recently replaced sway bar end links on both sides and they are in there pretty solid.
Outer tie rods seem fine while the left side one I can rotate it a bit if i try hard.
Ball joints have no visible boot damage.
I have done the whole 9-3 and 12-6 wheel check and it seems pretty solid.

My guesses would be upper strut mounts, or ball joints.

Any thoughts and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
